Joseph Whitaker is a General Surgery resident at Loma Linda University Medical Center. He completed medical school at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center after earning a degree in Chemical Engineering from Clemson University. Throughout his training, he has developed a strong interest in pediatric surgery, with particular attention to improving access to high-quality patient care for underserved and vulnerable populations. His academic work focuses on outcomes and health services research in pediatric surgery. He is excited to be part of GPSA and to contribute to its mission of advancing equitable pediatric surgical care.
