Livia Wilson is a medical student at Loma Linda University School of Medicine. She previously served as the Global Health Outreach Director at La Sierra University, where she focused on introducing pre-health students to both local and international outreach opportunities. She has volunteered in multiple hospitals and clinics around the world, most notably in West Africa, experiences that strengthened her commitment to patient-centered care in under-resourced settings. She is currently collaborating with physicians both locally and internationally on research focused on pediatric trauma care and outcomes in lower-resource communities, including San Bernardino and regions of West Africa. Livia is passionate about advancing health equity globally and plans to continue developing this aspect of her career throughout medical school and beyond.
